Professional-Grade Glass Condensers

Commonly used in labs to condense vapors during the distillation process, glass condensers are a necessary tool in research and experimentation. Glass condensers must be reliable and chemically resistant in order to attain the desired results during the distillation and extraction process.

At-Mar Glass has over 50 years of experience manufacturing and supplying high-end glass condensers for use in laboratories and research departments. All of our glass condensers go through rigorous testing to ensure safety and are constructed of borosilicate glass. Safety coatings are available to help reduce injuries and are also chemically resistant to prevent contamination during use.

We offer a wide range of configurations for our glass condensers, including:

  • Allihn Condensers
  • Cooling Condensers
  • Dewar Condensers
  • Double Cooling Condensers
  • Double Wall Condensers
  • Friedrich Condensers
  • Graham Condensers
  • Liebig Condensers
  • Micro Condensers
  • Reflux Coil Condensers
  • West Condensers

If your facility uses glass condensers and needs to secure high-quality glassware to perform experiments and research, contact the experts at At-Mar Glass. We also offer customizable glassware upon request.

Dewar Condensers

Dewar condensers are used in the process of cooling volatile liquids that have a high boiling point. Equipped with an ample opening at the top of the condenser to add coolants, our condensers are also constructed to resist incidents of thermal shock. Borosilicate glass construction enables the user to concentrate on the process, knowing that the condenser is built to withstand chemicals to reduce the chances of contamination.

Friedrich Condensers

Like other condensers, a Friedrich condenser utilizes spiraled inner tubing to create a long vapor path and provide superior heat transfer capabilities. Its anti-flooding characteristics reduce spillage incidents, and, as with all of our condensers, it’s made with borosilicate glass to maintain chemical resistance in high temperatures and other harsh conditions.

Allihn Condensers

The Allihn condenser, also known as a bulb condenser, features multiple bulbs formed into the borosilicate glass to increase surface area. This assists vapor condensation and aids in the process of refluxing. Safety coating is available, which helps reduce the chances of staff injuries and provides a chemically resistant film to ensure contamination does not occur.

Our Glass Condenser Services Include

Custom Condensers

If your laboratory needs a highly specialized glass condenser, At-Mar Glass will be happy to assist you. We offer glassware customization services to ensure our customers receive a condenser design that perfectly matches their specifications.

With decades of combined glassblowing experience, we have what it takes to complete even the most intricate customizations. Further, we do everything in-house at our Kennett Square facility, meaning that your one-of-a-kind condenser will be in our professional hands throughout every stage of the process.

Condenser Repair

A chipped or cracked condenser will no longer be able to handle high vapor-pressure solvents safely and can be a hazard if not addressed promptly. Rather than spend lots of money on a complete replacement, reach out to At-Mar Glass for professional glassware repairs.

Not only are repairs less expensive, but depending on the extent of the breakage, we can have your glass condenser fixed and shipped back in only a few days. In some cases, the cost of shipping can even exceed repairs, making it an economical choice for any laboratory.

Condenser Augmentation

Are the specifications of your cold finger condenser not aligned with the particular needs of your experiment? With our glass augmentation services, they can be.

At-Mar Glass can make precise adjustments to your condenser’s outer joint, inner coil, drip tip, and other components to ensure that it’s a perfect fit for your experiment. We place tiny details in high regard and can perform even the most complex alterations, meaning you can have complete confidence in placing your condenser augmentation needs in our care.
